Sun can oxidize plastic and cause it to fade. By properly cleaning the plastic and using certain chemical dressings, it is possible to restore the look and sheen back to near-factory conditions. Some of these chemicals can be found at your local automotive store. However, applying these solutions should be done with caution, as getting it on anything other than the plastic can potentially cause damage to that area – especially the paint and clear coat. If you are unsure about using these products, consider having an auto detailer do the job.
We offer a service called “paint correction,” which is exactly what is sounds like. The layers of your vehicle’s exterior consist of clear coat, a paint base coat and primer coat. The majority of the time, scratches and swirls are on that top coat, meaning the damage is not too far gone. We have the right expertise and tools to fix the paint, plastic, trim, headlights, wheels and more of your vehicle. Not sure what your car needs? That’s no problem. Just send us a message with your questions and we’ll help guide you.
After the trim, plastic or paint has been restored, you may consider applying a protective coating to avoid UV rays and future fading.
